Fridge Cleaning Day in November’s Calendar

4 National Candy Day — believe it or not — is celebrated on NOVEMBER 4. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t Halloween (just four days before) the real candy confab? Raid your kids’ trick-or-treat haul, find sales on leftovers at the store or savor any sweets not dispensed.

9 is the birth anniversary of visionary scientist Carl Sagan (1934-1996). I can still see him on the landmark PBS series “Cosmos” in his turtleneck — and hear that unique voice, “Billions upon billions of stars…” If it’s your birthday too, many happy returns of the day!

15 National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day is NOVEMBER 15. Chances are better than average that the fridge at your office or shop hasn’t been checked for expired, moldy or even scarier contents. Give it the deep clean it deserves, then get fresh milk or cream for coffee!

25 On NOVEMBER 25, with “just” 30 days before Christmas, celebrate Shopping Reminder Day. Have you taken care of all the clients, friends and family on your list? What’s that? You haven’t even begun to shop or even think about it?! Welp, this day’s for you. Enjoy!
