Fujifilm Receives Intertech Technology Award

FUJIFILM North America Corp.’s Graphic Systems Div. (Valhallah, NY) has earned an InterTech™ Technology Award from Printing Industries of America for its ZAC automated controller technology found in its FLH-Z processor. Fujifilm received one of six awards that recognize innovative technologies that are expected to majorly impact the graphic-communications industry.
Sam Ota, division president, Graphic Systems Div., Fujifilm North America Corp., said, “We are proud of the products we produce and in an era where environmental sustainability is on everyone’s minds, the ZAC automated processor technology not only reduces waste but it also increases up time and cost savings. No other processor can do all of this.”
Fujifilm’s ZAC automated controller technology module’s processor monitors conductivity and precisely controls activity, resulting in increased chemistry life, decreased effluent and reduced costs. The InterTech judges credited Fujifilm’s ZAC technology for its control over plate processing, which results in more consistent plates, less money spent on chemicals and reduced chemical waste without requiring a change in workflow.
The 2010 InterTech™ Technology Awards will be presented at the 2010 Premiere Print Awards and InterTech™ Technology Awards Gala on October 3 in Chicago, during Graph Expo 2010. Winners will also be highlighted at the Printing Industries of America booth during the conference.
This is the second year in a row that Fujifilm’s Graphic Systems Div. has been honored with an InterTech™ Technology Award. Last year, the company’s Taskero Universe™ ColorPath Verified® solution, a system and method for remotely monitoring, maintaining and servicing every facet of the color-production process, was a recipient.
