Gemini Metal-Image Process

Designed for plaques, markers

Published

on

Gemini Inc. (Cannon Falls, MN) is introducing Metal Image plaques. According to the company, it enables greater detail than chemical etching, with a lower price point and faster turnaround. The process involved firing a thin, ceramic layer onto a stainless-steel plate, and then laser-etching words or images onto the plaque or marker. The unengraved porcelain is removed, and the graphics remain on porcelainized stainless steel, which is reportedly impervious to nearly all conditions.
