The Wallcoverings Association (Chicago) announced that the Allman Award will be presented to Gina Shaw, executive vice president of product development for York Wallcoverings (York, PA), at their annual meeting in Delray Beach, FL on Jan. 28-31, according to a press release from the company.

Shaw has dedicated her entire professional career to the wallcovering industry, where she has contributed an unequivocal blend of art and innovation.

“It’s been a tremendous journey so far with a lot more ideas on the horizon,” says Shaw. “I could not be prouder to be honored in this way, and to join a long list of honorable colleagues in receiving this award.”

This prestigious award is named after WA’s founder, Justin P. Allman, and is presented each year to a leader who has made a long-lasting, positive contribution to the wallcovering industry.

Beginning in 1982, Shaw worked with Eisenhart Wallcoverings before bringing her expertise to York Wallcoverings 22 years later. This combined 40-plus years of servitude to the industry has made Shaw an integral part of the trade acting as the intersection between designers, brands, and artists to the world of manufacturing.

“The wallcovering industry is fortunate to have leaders like Gina Shaw, who work continuously to improve the industry with innovation and design,” said Bryan White, Wallcoverings Association Senior Advisor. “Gina’s dedication to the industry is appreciated.”
