Grimco Presses Inc. (Paterson, NJ), a manufacturer of hydraulic thermoforming equipment for more than 50 years, is debuting the SignForm series of thermoforming presses designed to fabricate custom ADA signs and raised graphics. The company offers the equipment in 13 x 13-in., 19 x 19-in. and 25 x 25-in. models, and each automated press features “double daylights” (separate heating and cooling sections), which it states enables full-size, panel fabrication in as little as six minutes. The energy-efficient system’s platens remain hot once they reach the pre-programmed temperature, and cooling only requires two to three minutes once products move to the cooling platens. Thermoformed signs may be made from acrylic, acrylic/PVC alloys, ABS, PETG, HDPE and polypropylene, and all fabricated signs are fully recyclable. When they purchase a press, customers also receive Sharon Toji’s book, Thermoforming and the New ADA: A Guide to Creative Compliance.
