Hewlett-Packard (HP), Palo Alto, CA, is introducing several inkjet-media varieties that are optimized for latex-ink printing:

• Premium Satin Canvas, a bright-white material with an expansive color gamut designed for fine-art and photographic printing that’s scratch- and crack-resistant;
• Everyday Satin Canvas, a semi-matte, textured material, designed for production-oriented décor and display work, that reportedly maintains quality consistent with fine-art gallery wraps;
• “Next-generation” Backlit Polyester Film, a wide-color-gamut material.

According to HP, the materials are optimized for being printed with its original inks. Brand Management Group serves as HP’s licensing partner.
