ISA Survey Reports Wage, Job Growth

The International Sign Assn. (ISA), Alexandria, VA, has released a survey compiled based on responses from 475 sign and visual-communications companies. Association Research Inc. compiled the data confidentially.

Some survey highlights:

  • Avery pay increased 5.4% for hourly employees, 5.1% for salaried administrative or operational employees, and 5.5% for salaried-management employees
  • In 2016, pay increases of 4.8%, 4.6% and 5.0% are expected for the aforementioned positions, respectively
  • A small majority of respondents (55.8%) planned to hire more staff by year’s end. overall, companies with more than $3 million in 2014 annual sales volume gave slightly lower pay increases than larger companies.
  • More sales teams work on salary plus commission (42.7%) than salary alone (30.1%).

Participating companies received a full report. The executive summary is free to ISA members, and $300 for the full report. For non-members, the summary and full-report costs are $50 and $500, respectively.
