Mimaki (Suwanee, GA) is announcing its FineCut version v8.0.4 plug-in, cutting software that supports CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6. The FineCut plug-in software is standard with all Mimaki cutting plotters and printer/cutters and provides signmaking-specific tools for such software as CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator. Mimaki FineCut customers can download the upgrade to version 8.0.4 at www.eng.mimaki.co.jp/download. Mimaki says A v6 or v7 original installation disc is required to verify the process.
Mimaki is also announcing its JV400LX Series of wide-format latex inkjet printers with CMYK+ white latex ink with Mimaki Circulation Technology. The printers feature high-speed, dual-piezo printheads, variable-dot imaging and low-heat curing for printing on numerous media choices.
