Delcam Inc. (Windsor, ON, Canada) is introducing 10 new modules for ArtCAM Express, an entry-level software program for engraving, signmaking and woodworking that offers basic drawing and 2D and 3D machining functions.
The company says the upgrades will allow users to increase functionality without a more costly upgrade to ArtCAM Insignia or ArtCAM Pro. One new module is a vector tools option, which allows users to work simultaneously with multiple layers. Other modules allow for layering of multiple bitmap images, user creation of fonts, and preparation of data for machining. In addition, advanced machining modules, whose functions include creating 3D shapes from 2D vectors, are available.
The software is available in 32- and 64-bit versions for Windows. Users can customize their purchase by selecting from among the 10 modules; any combination may be added to the existing software.
