Nazdar Ink Technologies (Shawnee, KS) has announced an exclusive development and OEM supplier agreement with M&R Printing Equipment (Roselle IL) to jointly develop a special ink set for M&R’s new POLARIS high-speed industrial direct-to-garment (DTG) printing system and the recently released QUATRO direct-to-film (DTF) transfer printer. This builds on an existing relationship that began several years ago with the joint development of the high-performance SAPPHIRE inks for use on the M&R POLARIS DTG printing system, according to a press release from Nazdar.

“We are proud to work with our partner, M&R, to develop and deliver inks for their industry-leading equipment,” Nazdar President and CEO Richard Bowles is quoted in the release. “The long-standing relationship between our two companies has been the foundation for our successful innovation of the Polaris and Quatro digital apparel inks.

“While these types of OEM supplier relationships are very rarely made public,” M&R CEO Danny Sweem is also quoted, “we felt that our customers would benefit in knowing that M&R was combining our 38 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of high-performance printed apparel decorating equipment with Nazdar’s more than 100 years of experience in the development of specialty inks and coatings for textile, graphic and industrial applications.”
