Oklahoma City unveiled signage across the city celebrating the Thunder’s 2025 NBA Championship on Oct. 21, NBC-affiliated station KFOR reports.

The city has placed 14 championship banners throughout Will Rogers International Airport, as well as six signs along three major interstates entering Oklahoma County at the following locations:

  • Northbound on Terminal Drive
  • At the Oklahoma City limits on I-35 North and South
  • I-40 East and West
  • I-44 near SW 149th Street
  • Westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike at Luther Road

“Millions of people come to or pass through our championship city every year, and we don’t want them to forget what Oklahoma City and the Thunder have accomplished,” Mayor David Holt wrote on his X account as quoted by KFOR. “We began working on this project in July to ensure that there is a visual legacy for our championship. Even though today we enter a new season and a new chapter, our first NBA championship is sports immortality, and it deserves a legacy across OKC.”
