Onyx Graphics Joins JDF Group

JDF technical interface standard facilitates cross-vendor print workflows.

ONYX Graphics, Inc. (Salt Lake) has joined forces with other industry leaders to define open Job Definition Format (JDF) standards for the wide-format printing market. JDF is a technical interface standard developed for and by the graphic-arts industry to facilitate cross-vendor print workflows.
With JDF, a digital job ticket can be shared between systems automatically, which reduces the manual intervention required to move a job through the shop.
The JDF initiative is under the guidance of the International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4), which is chaired by Hewlett Packard.
