ONYX Graphics Inc. (Salt Lake City) is announcing the ONYX® SmartApps™ sign and banner plug-in for Adobe® Illustrator®. The software plug-in allows signshops to design signs and banners, including grommet marks, bleeds and folds, in Illustrator rather than manually measuring these markings or using RIP software that may slow production time. The plug-in also allows designs to be created to scale, so that jobs are print-ready. The plug-in is the first product in the company’s RIP-independent line for print providers and designers.
