Orbus Announces New Manufacturing Facility

Orbus Visual Communications (Woodridge, IL) announces the relocation and grand opening of a new manufacturing facility for SEG Systems and Fabric Images in Huntersville, NC, according to a press release.

The relocation and expansion are a $25 million investment and will create 100 new jobs, in addition to the 86 jobs moving from Charlotte. The facility is approximately 225,000 sq. ft. and will incorporate SEG Systems’ and Fabric Images’ entire production capabilities including printing, metal fabrication and more.

“Fabric Images’ move to North Carolina is a significant expansion of space for fabric architecture and acoustic production,” Marco Alvarez, vice president of Fabric Images, is quoted in the press release. “Large-scale projects require extensive square footage, and this investment supports our needs very well.”

The media is invited to join them at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 17 at 1:30 p.m. RSVP by email to yuliana.alvarez@segsystems.com by April 5.
