PerkinElmer Showcases LED Solutions at EuroLED

PerkinElmer Optoelectronics (Fremont, CA), a global technology leader in digital imaging, specialty lighting and optical-detection technologies, has showcased its new ACULED® VHL (very high lumen) and ACULED DYO (design-your-own), the latest additions to its ACULED family of standard and custom LED solutions, at the fourth annual EuroLED conference and exhibition, held June 5-7, in Birmingham, England.

In its fourth year, EuroLED presents a unique opportunity for global organizations to penetrate, understand and expand the European and global LED and solid-state lighting markets.

Dr. Michael Kramer, managing director of LED Solutions at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, will speak on “The Use of Chip-On-Board LEDs in Medical Applications,” on June 7. Dr. Kramer’s presentation will offer specific insights into LED trends and opportunities in specialty-lighting markets, with a particular focus on applications such as medical examination, phototherapy, dental curing, and illumination (such as endoscopy), as well as the key features and benefits of COB technology.

PerkinElmer’s new standard ACULED VHL line of LED solutions offers brightness, improved luminous efficacy and thermal management, all in a compact, easy-to-assemble design. It is available standard in monochromatic (UV, blue, green, yellow, red, IR) and multicolored, four-chip combinations such as red-green-blue-yellow (RGBY).

The ACULED DYO custom product line gives customers the flexibility to design their own four-chip LED configuration to suit specific lighting applications. Options include visible and non-visible LED chips, sensors, and ESD protection chips.

The ACULED product family is used in a wide range of applications including general illumination, specialty lighting, architectural lighting, automotive lighting, entertainment and mood lighting, display lighting, and medical lighting. All products in the ACULED family are fully RoHS-compliant.
