Sign War: Local Businesses Take Jabs at Each Other

A friendly fracas has broken out between a couple of Virginia small businesses who are waging a war of words with their outdoor signage, as documented by WSLS.com.

It all began, the article notes, with a message from Bridge Kaldro Music Store that read, “Hey Super Shoes, want to start a sign war?”

Like a good sport, Super Shoes obliged, writing, “Hey Bridge Kaldro! Our shoe strings are stronger than your guitar string.”

To which the music store replied, “Your shoestrings never got anyone a date.”

Since then, the stores have been poking fun at each other’s businesses and drawing nationwide attention via social media. A Facebook group that’s tracking the battle is up to 24.7K members.
