For approximately 40 years, beginning with the Electric and Commercial State of the Industry Reports, ST has conducted surveys that ask its subscribers to provide feedback as a gauge of the industry’s vitality. Since, we’ve conducted surveys that address vinyl, banners, neon and lighting, compensation and other topics.
Now, we’re proud to unveil our inaugural Vehicle Graphics Survey. Our decision to devote a contest solely to vehicle graphics in 2007 has proven well-justified, and the market has grown exponentially since then. As materials, printing and ink technologies, and related tools and accessories have improved, producing vehicle wraps has become increasingly efficient and profitable. And, the advent of textured, carbon-fiber and other, solid-color “paint replacement” wrap films has opened new realms of potential customers.
The survey’s format resembles other editions: it asks the number of employees, shop revenue, the percentage of work done in-house versus outsourced, material and equipment preferences and the like. To access the survey, click here.
The survey will remain open until April 1; results will be published in the May issue. If your shop’s vehicle-wrap sales and installation represent a significant (20% or more) portion of your business, we hope you’ll take the time to complete the survey and help us provide a snapshot of the state of the vehicle-wrap industry.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
