SuperMax Tools Mechanical Sanders

Machines available from 13 to 49 in. wide

SuperMax Tools (St. Paul, MN) is introducing its SuperBrush freestanding sanders, which are designed to create texture on metal, wood and simulated-wood materials. The machines offer variable brush speeds and conveyor-feed rates that allow extensive finish possibilities; easy-change brush heads or abrasive loadings; fully adjustable tension rollers that prevent stock slippage; a reinforced, steel-conveyor bed with a poly-conveyor belt; precision height adjustment, and a bristle contact gauge that helps users measure how deeply the sander is penetrating the surface.

Available models include a 13-in.-wide sander with a 1.75-hp, 43-in./lb.-torque motor; 24- and 36-in. models with a 5-hp, 100-in/lb.-torque motor; a 49-in. machine with a 5-hp, 200-in./lb.-torque motor; and a 24- or 36-in.-wide, double-brush sander that operates with twin, 5-hp motors. The 13-in. machine handles materials up to 4 in. deep; all remaining machines except the double-brush model accept substrates up to 11 in. deep (the double-brush model takes media up to 9 in. thick).
