Wide-Format Printer

Noritsu America Corp. (Buena Park, CA) is debuting its MYTIS-1 high-speed, wide-format, inkjet printer system. The Multi-Yield Transfer Inkjet System’s six-color inkjet printer uses a special dispersion, dye-sublimation process to produce 720-dpi prints up to 48 in. x 16 ft. With a three- to five-year outdoor life, prints require no lamination or edge sealing and feature continuous-tone imaging with weather and water resistance.

Various polyester-based media are available, including White Vision film for use with adhesives for indoor or outdoor graphics; Backlit Vision film for use in illuminated signs or in well-lit areas; and Trans Vision, a reflective adhesive material. The printer can produce 160 sq. ft. per hour with White Vision and 80 sq. ft. per hour with Backlit or Trans Vision.
