3M Commercial Graphics (St. Paul, MN) is presenting its 8528 Scotchcal glossy overlaminate. The topcoat is designed to withstand such environmental conditions as UV rays, extreme temperatures, acid dew and other conditions common in dense, urban areas. The 2-mil, cast material provides excellent conformability and dimensional stability, the company reports, and is designed for us with solvent, latex and UV inks. 3M offers a two-year warranty for horizontal-surface applications, and seven years for vertical surfaces.
