Gloss, matte topcoats designed for flexible-face, translucent vinyl

Published

on

3M Commercial Graphics (St. Paul, MN) is introducing two 3M™ Scotchcal™ overlaminates designed for use on digitally imaged, electronically cut, backlit signfaces. Offerings include 3658G glossy- and 3660M matte-finish topcoats, which, according to the company, enhance durability for flexible, rigid, flat or thermoformed signfaces by protecting them from UV light, abrasion and other environmental factors. The 2-mil overlaminates are compatible with flexible-face material, such as its Panagraphics™ III material; translucent media, such as its Envision™ and Scotchcal™ substrates; and piezo-inkjet inks.
