Robin Donovan Signs of the Times November 2011 Issue

Agfa Graphics (Mortsel, Belgium) is releasing the :Anapurna M2540 FB, a flatbed, UV, inkjet printer for rigid substrates. The printer has a vacuum bed and prints in six colors (CMYK, light cyan and light magenta), as well as white. Substrates up to 1.77 in. thick are compatible with the machine, which has 11 retractable register pins designed for easy, accurate positioning.

The printer has eight Konica-Minolta printheads (six for color, two for white), with 1,024 nozzles per head for colored ink, and an ink-drop size of 12 pl for colored ink and 42 pl for white ink.
