Aurora Specialty Textiles Group Inc. (Aurora, IL) has announced its Malibu Canvas GF, a soft, bright-white canvas with an acrylic gesso coating, as an addition to its Northern Lights Printable Textiles™ line. The company says the canvas, designed for use with solvent inkjet and UV-cure print machines, is ideal for banners, fine art reproduction, wall murals and other large-format graphics. The media is 18 mil thick and weighs 10.5 oz. sq. yd.; its base fabric is 100% spun polyester yarn, which allows the canvas to be stretched and framed, without cracking. The standard width is 120 in. but it may also be custom slit. The company offers sample rolls.
