Be a Fancouver

Yahoo! and augmented-reality leader Total Immersion are inviting Olympic visitors to join the gold-medal experience in Yahoo!’s “Fancouver” exhibit at the Vancouver games. Passersby can insert themselves into the festivities in a host of guises by using the augmented reality feature of the OOH display. Kicking off today February 12, the Fancouver display’s dual windows use face tracking and tracking to a brochure, to give fans a distinctly different view of the proceedings. Helios Interactive Technologies partnered with Total Immersion in handling systems integration and installation, along with providing onsite technical support.
