Client
Streetcar Wine & Beer

Michael Dupuy, the owner of Streetcar Wine & Beer, commissioned this mural to thank the Jamaica Plain neighborhood for supporting his store since its 2012 opening. Luke said the design’s layout was inspired by chromolithography, a 19th-Century, color-printing technology that helped change public perceptions of art. He also noted the mural incorporates imagery relevant to Massachusetts, Boston and Jamaica Plain. Luke set the template with a pounce pattern, chalk and Stabilo pencils, and painted the mural using fitch brushes and 1Shot® lettering enamels.

Client
Tin Lizzy’s

The 9 x 12-ft. mural, painted on a stucco wall at the newest Tin Lizzy’s Cantina location in Atlanta, adapts a 1920s ad for Velocette, then a British motorcycle company, Franks collaborated with Martin Haddock to apply the mural using acrylic paints and Mack Brush Co. fitch brushes. The project also features two exterior wall murals; the duo endured brutally cold days to create them.

Client
Foth

Foth, an engineering consultancy, wanted the 55-ft.-long, collapsible wall in its cafeteria to enhance the space with innovation-themed graphics. The graphics incorporate patent drawings and renderings of inventions and innovations relevant to Foth’s work, such as Edison’s lightbulb and a patent created by company founder Herb Foth. Foth’s Daniel Green said transforming technical drawings into behemoth .BMP images proved challenging. D.L. Couch produced the graphics with Dreamscape Suede wallcovering material that’s printed on an EFI-VUTEk GS3250 126-in.-wide, roll-to-roll, UV-cure-ink printer.
