Canon U.S.A. imagePROGRAF

Three new models for graphic arts, proofing and photo markets

Published

on

Canon U.S.A. has released three large-format printer models — its 44-in.-wide, imagePROGRAF iPF8300; 24-in.-wide imagePROGRAF iPF6350 and 24-in.-wide iPF6300, for the graphic-arts, proofing and photographic markets. Features include an enhanced color gamut via its 12-color, LUCIA EX pigment ink set; Photoshop plug-ins, and new media configuration tools to ease print workflow. Notably, the machines print smooth blacks, for photographic-type imaging.
Canon said independent laboratory testing indicated that properly treated, imagePROGRAF color prints should last up to 75 years, while black-and-white prints may last up to 200 years.
