EFI releases Fiery XF RIP

EFI (Foster City, CA) is announcing EFI® Fiery® XF RIP, Version 3.1, which supports VUTEk®’s UV-solvent, superwide-format printer line. A font checker detects missing fonts, which prevents type mismatches; a Monitor Profile Selection tool turns every client workstation with a calibrated and profiled monitor into a soft-proofing device; pre-defined Workflows simplify setup time; advanced Back-up and Restore modes save reference and monitor profiles; and the server configuration enables quick system restoration.

The software’s modular structure increases functionality, the company reports. Users can add the Color Verifier Option to ensure consistent color quality – even on remote sites – or use the EFI Fiery XF software to connect xerographic devices for concept proofs or digital-print runs.
