ColorGATE (Hannover, Germany) reports its Productionserver RIP as now certified (with a rating of 21 stars) for the HP Designjet L25500, latex-ink printer. Further, ColorGATE guarantees that Designjet L25500 owners who use Productionserver can easily apply the printer’s full functions range.

The Productionserver RIP scored full points for all the certification criteria: calibration (3/3); media flexibility (3/3); printer reporting (3/3); and job management (3/3). Additionally, the RIP is equipped with high-quality profiles for HP media, including the recyclable, heavy-textile banner; HP light textile banner media; HP HDPE reinforced banner media; as well as HP’s photo-realistic and white-satin, poster paper.

Productionserver also supports HP’s concatenating concept, which, HP said, provides optimum, job-processing by automatically sorting and grouping jobs according to the print settings; this conserves energy by minimizing cool to heat phase changes. The RIP also excels at integration of HP Professional PANTONE® Emulation.

ColorGATE offers two RIP editions for the L25500: the PS 6 HP L25500 edition includes Productionserver 6 Pro with 1 queue, 1 RIP process and 1 printer driver. The PS 6 HP L25500 Producer Edition is equipped with a second RIP process, for optimal capacity utilization and an integrated, profiling solution. It also features Ink Saver, a new ColorGATE technology that uses GCR-optimized DeviceLink profiling to reduce ink costs by up to 30%.

The HP Designjet Certification Program ensures users compatibility and integration of the certified RIP and workflow solutions provided by leading suppliers with the corresponding hardware systems from HP. The company awards the certification to products that have passed specific tests.

The European Press Association for Digital Printing named ColorGATE’s Productionserver as the best software solution in the “RIP Solutions for Wide Format” field.
