Contex Raster-to-Vector Software

Recognizes handwritten text

Published

on

Contex Americas Inc. (Herndon, VA) is offering WiseImage Vectory, raster-to-vector software for the company’s wide-format scanners. The company says the program automatically corrects scanned images and eliminates linear and non-linear distortion. Designed for technical drawings, maps, plans, drafts, sketches and other graphics, the software automatically corrects joining ends of contour objects, line orthogonalization and other common translational errors. Finally, the program comes with an OCR text recognition module, which can be trained to recognize handwritten text.
