Endicott Research Group (ERG), Endicott, NY, a manufacturer of DC-AC inverters for powering CCFL and EL-backlit LCDs, is introducing the Smart Force™ family of LED driver solutions for high-brightness LEDs (HB LEDs) used in LCD-backlit applications.

Available as an LED driver board or a complete kit that includes driver board and LED rails, The Smart Force LED solutions provide low-cost technology for driving HB LEDs to backlight 6.4- to 20-in.-diagonal LCDs. The driver boards employ a DC-DC boost to provide voltage to a constant-current driver and LED rail. ERG can design driver boards with input voltages that range from 5 to 48V.
