EFI-EFI (Meredith, NH) is announcing the Vutek QS3200r roll-to-roll, UV-curable printer. Its 24 Seiko printheads, with 1,536 nozzles/color, produces a 30-pl drop. It prints up to 1,850 sq. ft./hr. at 1,080-dpi resolution with eight-color printing, smoothing and an optimized bi-directional printing mode. The printer also images in 540-dpi resolution (450 to 900 sq. ft./hr. in eight-color mode) and 1,080-dpi resolution (900 to 1,850 sq. ft./hr. in Fast-4 mode).

The QS3200r uses Vutek QS Series r UV inks and offers eight-color (CMYKcmyk) and Fast-4 (CMYK x 2) inkset options. The inks are suitable for imaging onto flexible media and such complex curves as vehicle wraps and kiosks.

Compatible with fabric, backlit films, banners, adhesive-based vinyl and static cling, it will print type as small as 4 pt.
