Jacob Rieskamp Signs of the Times June 2004 Issue

A photomontage created by Eastman Kodak Co. (Rochester, NY) features 16,828 submitted photos of the faces of the Greek community, which are arranged to form the face of a smiling child. The montage, which will continue to hang in Athens’ Syntagma Square for the 2004 Olympic Games in August, covers a surface area of 5,000 sq. ft. Greek company Polichromo SA printed the 65.6 x 82-ft. display on a mesh substrate using a Nur America Inc. Fresco 3200. The photomontage won the Gold Award in its category at the third annual Effie Hellas 2004 Awards presented by the New York American Marketing Assn. The images used in the project were previously used in a photo exhibition recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest exhibit of its kind.NUR America Inc.
