3M Commercial Solutions (St. Paul, MN) has announced the Fastsigns sign franchise (Carrollton, TX) is adding 3M Visual Attention Software (VAS) to its existing array of graphic-design services. VAS, a web-based software tool, analyzes designs and photos to predict what most likely will grab a viewer’s attention within 3-5 seconds.

A designer can upload a layout to VAS and receive an analysis in approximately 20 seconds. The software generates five reports that can be viewed online and downloaded to discuss and share with the client. Based on the VAS analysis, the designer can either revise the project or finalize the design.
