Blair Companies (Altoona, PA), an image-solution provider, has been named to the Inc. 5000 list, a compendium of the most entrepreneurial and fastest-growing companies in America.
Blair President and CEO Philip Devorris said, “Blair Companies continues to differentiate ourselves as a leader in our space, delivering technology solutions and superior customer care to our valued customers. I thank Inc. Magazine for their ongoing commitment to entrepreneurship. I commend all of the companies on this year’s list for their strong performance and growth, which is most impressive in today’s challenging economic climate. And most of all, I thank all of our Blair teammates and customers who are the keys to our success.”
This year, Blair Companies placed 441st in its industry, with a three-year growth rate of 26%.
The 2009 Inc. 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126%. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
