Kerfkore (Brunswick, GA) is presenting a chain that features samples of its composite materials designed for flexible, architectural components: Kerfkore, a composite material designed for radius bending, which comprises MDF, particleboard or plywood and a black, latex-impregnated paper facestock and enables laminates or phenolic-backed veneers to be formed without stress, cracking or delamination; Timberflex, a 4 x 8-ft., ¾-in.-thick material that can be painted or stained without staining and bent to a 5-in. radius; Flexboard, an economical plywood alternative that comprises a .080-in.-thick hardboard face and a particleboard, MDF or plywood core that can be laminated with vinyl, metal or veneer; and EconoKore, an MDF-core material with a high-density plywood overlay that sells in ¼-, 3/8- and ¾-in.-thick sheet.
