Fujifilm Dimatix introduces Spectra Polaris Printhead

FUJIFILM Dimatix (Santa Clara, CA) has announced its Spectra Polaris PQ-512/15, Q-Class, hybrid printhead that uses Dimatix’ VersaDrop(tm) jetting technology to deliver 15 to 30 picoliter ink drop sizes from 512 addressable inkjet nozzles. The 1000-dpi heads operate at frequencies up to 45 kHz, at 314 in./sec. velocity, with, the company says, exceptional straightness.

The printhead’s interface allows one- or two-color operation with various inks, including UV-cure and organic solvents. It’s suitable for commercial and industrial applications, including wide-format, label and package printing.

An integral, precision-registration point, mounting bezel enables drop-in alignment, which allows field exchange and registration of each 256-channel, jet module, without special tools or recalibration.
