Fujifilm and Fujifilm Sericol USA Inc. (Kansas City, KS) are launching the Acuity X2 UV flatbed, which doubles the size of the print bed from the current model. This enables printing onto substrates as large as 120 x 98.4 in. and as thick as 1.88 in. The dual zoning system, with independent vacuum control allows the printing of an image in one zone while setting up another image in the second zone to increase throughput, the company states.

The X2 incorporates the modified printhead array of the Acuity Advance. Print speeds of up to 237 sq. ft./hr. can be obtained.

The X2 offers four-color CMYK or CMYK plus white capabilities. It utilizes Fujifilm Sericol UVjet UV ink and incorporates variable-droplet printhead technology. Additionally, a roll-to-roll module is available that can accommodate flexible media up to 86.6 in. wide.
