Gerber Scientific Products Inc. (South Windsor, CT) has announced its Gerber Solara ion^Z™ that continues the Gerber Solara ion^X and ion^V inkjet printer line. The 64-in. wide, four-color (CMYK) Solara ion^Z, which features piezo printheads and a drop-on demand, UV-cure ink system that is designed to image outdoor-durable, digital-prints, also delivers the same benefits of the current Solara ion product family, including GerberCat™ Cationic UV Ink and Cold Fire Cure™ low-temperature and long-life technology, but with high-resolution output up to 720 dpi. Because Gerber introduces new print technologies and advancements into its existing technologies, current Solara ion owners can upgrade their Solara ion^Xor Solara ion^V printers via field upgrade packages.
