Edward Segal Inc. (Thomaston, CT) is introducing an updated series of grommet-fabrication machines. Offerings include the 3P5 portable, pneumatic press, which loads manually, comprises interchangeable tooling to accommodate different sizes, doesn’t require self-piercing grommets, and works with standard plain and rolled, rim or spur grommets and washers up to No. 4 sizes: The G2R83 double-revolution machine works with grommets up to size No. 5, The 2KGW grommet and washer producers, which works with thinner materials and produces No. 3 plan or No.2 rolled-rim grommets. The 83GW freestanding grommet press creates grommets for thin fabrics, such as vinyl and canvas. Model 92GW, which applies pressure-cut holes, is designed to accommodate heavy-duty materials up to 1/8 in. thick, such as nylon webbing.
