Hewlett Packard (Palo Alto, CA) is unveiling its wide-gamut, Latex 310, 330 and 360 printers that, it says, image faster than its previous latex-ink models and with less operating power. The 300-series printers feature a charged, ink-dot placement system that reduces ink consumption and adds speed and accuracy. The printers apply waterbased, scratch-resistant ink. The compact, entry-level, 54-in.-wide HP Latex 310 features a space-saving, front-loading system; the 64-in.-wide HP Latex 330 handles heavier loads, and the similar, 64-in.-wide HP Latex 360 features an ink-collector system for textile printing. It also features automatic, front-to-back registration for producing double-sided banners.
