Hexacomb® (Buffalo Grove, IL), a Boise® company, is debuting its printable, white Falconboard® rigid display board for inkjet- and screenprinting applications. The material contains a bleached, white core and liner and a kraft paper core and clay-coated liner. According to the company, Falconboard meets market demand for 3-D displays and interior signs with clean, white edges, and is an alternative to media made from petroleum-based derivatives, and less expensive and more lightweight than MDF. The board accepts most inks and adhesives, and such connective systems as plastic or metal edging or channels, or edge tape. The material is dent-resistant, and is easily die-cut.

Hexacomb sells the material in ¼- to 4-in.-thick slabs up to 5 x 10 ft. long
