Husk Signs (Evansville, IN) has been named southwest Indiana’s small business of the year by the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The company was started in 1979 by Kip Husk, who hand painted the company’s first signs at his mother’s kitchen table. Today’s clientele for internally illuminated signs include Verizon Wireless, Coca-Cola, Office Depot, T.J.Maxx and Borders, among others. Husk Signs also produces banners, truck lettering and painted signs, its original products.
