A Statement by ISA President, Lori Anderson, on Local Sign Company Renewals and the New Membership Structure
As most of you know, the International Sign Association’s Reorganization and Bylaws revisions passed the ISA Board of Directors and membership in November 2012. During 2013, state and regional associations will be working with ISA to become Affiliated Associations of ISA.
Until such agreements are in place, ISA will continue its renewal process to ensure we provide affiliates with a database of active custom sign companies. These last months of the year are large renewal times for the industry in general and we feel this is important as it maintains continuity of services, programs and contacts.
Once an organization becomes an official affiliate, ISA will transfer the applicable renewal dues dollars to each affiliate. Because 2013 is a transition year and affiliates will come on-board at different times, this approach allows current members to hold their membership without a break in service.
We are looking forward to the opportunities this new structure brings and appreciate your membership and support of ISA and your local affiliated association. We will continue to work together for a unified industry – together we can be stronger on issues you care about, on both the local and national levels.
