A Keith Haring mural was recently uncovered in Amsterdam after being concealed by insulation panels for nearly 30 years. In Amsterdam for a solo show at the Stedelijk Museum in 1986, the late American artist also completed a 40-ft.-tall mural on one of Stedelijk’s storage facilities. The mural was covered up after Stedelijk moved out and the building became a cold storage facility in 1989. Multiple organizations, including the museum and the Keith Haring Foundation, organized the removal of the obstructing panels.
