Graphtec America Inc. (Santa Ana, CA) has introduced the SignJet Pro JS501-18ES 72-in. inkjet printer, which images in 360, 720, 1080 and 1440 dpi on banner roll material, flexible-face material , poly¬ester, paper, vinyl and window film.

The SignJet Pro JS501-18ES, which can use both solvent or mild-solvent inks, features 12 printheads. Its printhead-heating system ensures con¬sistent ink flow and print quality. Printheads can be cleaned automatically.

Print speeds range from the highest-quality 720 x 1,440 dpi (imaging at 48 sq. ft./hr.), a standard 360 x 720 dpi (imaging 193.8 sq. ft./hr.) and a high-speed 360 x 360 dpi (imaging at 388 sq. ft./hr.). It also has a blower and a fan drying system.
