Jacob Rieskamp Signs of the Times March 2006 Issue

Océ USA (Chicago) is unveiling the CS6060 low-solvent, large-format, inkjet printer. Offering 720 x 720-dpi graphics with outdoor durability up to three years at print speeds up to 176 ft./hr. in four-pass mode, it uses low-solvent inks that provide a wider color gamut than traditional solvent inks, the company reports. The 64-in.-wide, six-color printer uses superwide, piezo-inkjet printheads with 512 nozzles per color. In two-pass mode, the machine prints at speeds up to 330 ft./hr. at 720 x 360 dpi.
