LED Lighting Systems Inc. (Albion, MI) is offering LumiRod, a solid-state, strip-based, LED illumination system for such applications as backlighting, border lighting or accent lighting. The PCB on which the LEDs rest has a slim profile and may be encased in weather-resistant polycarbonate housing for outdoor use.

The product is available in sizes ranging from 11/2 in. to 4 ft. long, and in red, white, blue, green, amber, orange, ultraviolet and blinking red/blue/green colors. Four-ft. lengths can be joined by board-to-board connectors, and up to 50 ft. of the product can be driven by a single power supply.
