Myriad applications include channel letters and backlighting

The ITW Photonics Group of Lumex (Carol Stream, IL) is announcing its TitanBrite wireless bonded LED that features “flip chips” that are up to 15% brighter than any others in the market, the company states. Available as standard 3W and 6W LEDs, the product is also available in 9W. Among myriad uses, the company says the product can be used in channel letters and for backlighting.
Due to the absence of a wire bond and a hard epoxy layer, the wireless, bonded LEDs are five times stronger, offer superior heat dissipation, and are more adverse to shock and vibration than traditional, high-power LEDs, the company states. The company adds that the LEDs run 25% more coolly and offer 15% more light output.
