Multipanel (Matford, England) is debuting Alupanel A-Lite® composite material, an inkjet-printable, polyethylene-core material that’s encased within 0.008-in.-thick aluminum and coated with a proprietary ultra-white, polyurethane paint system and easily peeled protective film. Core thicknesses of 0.08, 0.12, 0.16 and 0.24 in. are available for 4 or 5 ft. wide and 8 or 10 ft. long. The material is designed for direct inkjet printing, architectural signage and exhibit graphics, among other applications.
