Upstart ad firm paints billboards on houses, pays mortgage

Adzookie, an Anaheim, CA-based ad firm opened last year, is offering to pay a homeowner’s mortgage for up to one year in return for allowing the firm to have a billboard painted on the front of the home. According to the company, it received more than 1,000 applications on Tuesday when the offer was announced. Adzookie, which operates with an eight-person staff, places local business ads free if the customer allows Adzookie’s ad to be placed on the customer’s mobile sites.

Romeo Mendoza, Adzookie’s founder, said billboards will be painted within a few weeks.
